Featured Author: Kat Kent

The Leaplings Trilogy is Kat's big debut. What began as an impromptu story for her son and daughter soon blossomed into a heart-pounding, non-stop young adult thriller. She's currently working on her young adult space thriller, Pyxis Risen. We can't wait to see what imaginative yarn she weaves next!

Kat has studies in Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley and Creative Writing program at Clark College. She is a member of the Willamette Writers Group and attendee of the Willamette Writers Conference. Kat wrote her first novel, the Haunted House, in the eighth grade.

The Leaplings are a group of teens all born at the same moment on leap day. When you're really good at something, you can make a lot of money. They learn they have a choice: use their extraordinary powers to stop an evil cyber-criminal from taking over the world or run and always be fighting. Jake is determined to seek justice for the brutalities done to their loved ones and not let it make them revenge-seekers in return. The others have a different idea.
